I have been using SML buses for my school fleet for over a decade. The new S7 series continues to be the benchmark for safety. The low step height and High-Viz' windows are small details that make a huge difference for student safety. While Eicher offers slightly more 'plush' interiors, SML's chassis is simply tougher. It handles the rough village roads during morning pickups without the frequent suspension issues we see in other brands
The SARTAJ GS a legend for a reason. It isn't the fastest truck on the highway, but for navigating narrow city markets, it is unbeatable. The fuel efficiency stays consistent even when fully loaded (getting around 11-13 kmpl). Since Mahindra took over, I've noticed that getting spare parts is even easier in South India than it used to be. It's a Bharosemand" (reliable) workhorse that doesn't demand much maintenance.
We upgraded from small van-based ambulances to the SMLGS High-Roof model. The ability for a paramedic to stand upright while performing CPR or adjusting an IVis a game-changer. It's much more stable at high speeds than a standard Tempo Traveller, and the multi-leaf spring suspension ensures the patient doesn't feel every bump on the road. it feels like a mobile mini-ER rather than just a transport van.
